What is CDN?

A CDN (Content Delivery Network), is a group of servers placed across the globe with the purpose of delivering static content to users much faster. When a visitor browses a website, that request is routed towards the nearest possible CDN edge server, hence providing faster website load speeds.

With websites having to deliver more data and content than ever before. CDNs are becoming increasingly popular as a method of content delivery to ensure your audience receives the best user experience.

Without CDN

When using a CDN, the servers that are a part of the CDN distribute static website data to visitors that are close to that particular geographic region. This leads to fewer hops and a faster flow of data therefore making websites load faster and enhancing the user experience.

Why You Need a CDN?

It’s important to provide a fast web browsing experience for your website visitors. A slow loading website can affect a company's conversation rates, bounce rates and online reputation. These factors can lead to poor interaction between the audience and the website which ultimately leads to page abandonment. A CDN can significantly reduce your website load times instantly. Below are some of the advantages:-

Speed

Once you start using a CDN with your website, immediately you will see great improvements in website load speeds. With our CDN located in every region of the globe, you'll be able to reach your global audience quickly and easily.

Crash Resistance

CDN allows us to distribute the load to multiple servers instead of having 100% traffic to your main server. This improves server crash resistance and prevents your website from going down when too many requests are happening.

Improved User Experience

CDNs can help reduce the bounce rate on your website once implemented. With CDN, you may also see an increased number of page views, time spent on website and an overall improved consumer experience.

Improvement in SEO

Google has clearly stated that faster websites tend to rank higher in Search Engines. This leads to higher visibility in Search Engines making your website organically more search friendly.
