SHINJIRU Technology Sdn Bhd (Shinjiru) employees bring cheer to Bandar Damai Home Care residents during the Chinese New Year celebrations hosted by Shinjiru’s Sports and Recreation Club in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday.

KUALA LUMPUR 23 January 2020 – Festive seasons are most meaningful with the presence of loved ones. Unfortunately for some who have been displaced, they will never again experience such significant moments of being surrounded by people they cherish most.

This Chinese New Year, Shinjiru Technology Sdn Bhd (Shinjiru) extends its support to some 60 elderly residents of Bandar Damai Home Care in Seri Kembangan, Selangor who are in need of assistance, as well as some cheering up to lift their spirits just in time for the celebrations.

Shinjiru Director of Sales, Wani Shaari says, the company has prepared some contributions including donations collected amongst its employees and management team. The aim is to reach out in the efforts to lessen the burden of the underprivileged group.

“Some of them have experienced abuse, neglect and abandonment by their own family members. We are so blessed to celebrate Chinese New Year together with them, we hope that our small gesture brings some joy to them this year,” she said during the Chinese New Year celebration at Bandar Damai Home Care in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday.

Organised by Shinjiru’s Sports and Recreation Club (SRC), honored guests – the residents were treated to entertaining performances and customary yee sang prosperity toss before receiving customary angpao packets.

Shinjiru’s SRC members also came a day earlier to deliver donations including plastic furniture, rice cooker, adult diapers, toiletries, cleaning liquids, groceries and other daily necessities. The company also contributed RM3,888 to the nursing home during the event.

Meanwhile, Meswak Mu’min Sdn. Bhd., manufacturer and distributor of Mu’min products decided to chip in and sponsored hampers and goodie bags consisting of personal care items for the residents.

Bandar Damai Home Care provides round-the-clock nursing and health care, certified medication by the Ministry of Health, in-house physiotherapy, acupuncture and reflexology treatment for residents in a clean, comfortable facility, well equipped with medical efficacies.


Shinjiru Sports and Recreation Club members contribute, delivered the donations and installed furnishings such as cabinets, tables and chairs for the elderly residents of the nursing home in Cheras.

The organization currently operates three homes with 60-bed capacity. The homes are managed by experienced, veteran government hospital retirees assisted by trained nurses.

Shinjiru Manager of Operation, Uvaraj Nadeson who leads SRC’s activities for January says, “We hope to continue with more beneficial CSR events in the future. The involvement by our generous colleagues is very inspiring and we are excited to continue this effort in the future.”
