“How do we change the world? One random act of kindness at a time”- Morgan Freeman
Do you remember the kindest thing someone has done for you? Receiving kindness from family, friends, or strangers could have a massive impact on one’s life. We’ve witnessed how kindness was able to unite Malaysians when they went the extra mile to help each other through the white flag movement.
The lockdown in Malaysia has caused a number of negative impacts on society, including financial difficulties, mental health issues, and more. Shinjiru took part in helping those in need by establishing a food bank that operates every weekday at Wisma Laxton to provide aid to those severely affected by the lockdown.
Since its launch in July until today, we’ve seen a lot of smiles and burdens lifted. Nothing could compare to the feeling of being able to help those who are genuinely in need. Not just that, we were also able to witness the power of kind actions when we received several anonymous sponsorship and sponsorships from our staff. One small act of kindness can indeed have a tremendous impact on the world around you.
“Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you.”-Princess Diana.
Kindness should be shared and spread to everyone around us. We are sharing our story so that we will be able to create a culture where we continuously inspire each other to do good things in life.
