Microsoft 365 And Office 365 Price Increase 2022
Microsoft has announced price changes for Microsoft 365 and Office 365 plans on 19th August 2021 for the first time since they launched Office 365 10 years ago. The increase is due to their continuous innovation effort in areas such as communications and collaboration, security and compliance and AI and automation. In addition, they’ve introduced the addition of audio conferencing capabilities for Microsoft Teams meetings across the enterprise, business, frontline, and government suites.
Over the years, Microsoft has added over 24 additional cloud applications without increasing their price, which has significantly extended their value to enterprises. These include useful apps such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneNote, Stream, Planner, Visio, OneDrive, Yammer, and more.
The new pricing for Office 365 and Microsoft 365 plans will be implemented globally starting 1st March 2022. Based on their announcement, only Microsoft 365 Business Standard pricing and education and consumer products pricing will not be affected at the moment.
