KUALA LUMPUR 22 July 2021- Shinjiru Technology Sdn Bhd has founded a food bank that operates every weekday at Wisma Laxton to provide aid to those affected by the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) and full movement control order (FMCO).

Launched on the 21st of July, this project aims to help those badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. This includes those who’ve lost their jobs and do not have sufficient income to sustain themselves or their family during the lockdown.

Since the implementation of EMCO and FMCO in Malaysia, the media has been flooded with people seeking help through the white flag movement. Therefore, Shinjiru has taken the initiative to help society by providing food, cooking ingredients, and hygiene products to those in need.

The food bank is open every Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm, and it is located at Wisma Laxton, Jalan Desa, Off Jalan Klang Lama, Taman Desa, 58100 Kuala Lumpur. The table is placed beside Boost Juice, in front of Dita Group.

The public is also welcome to contribute any form of donations to the Food bank. All you have to do is to drop by our location and leave your contributions on the table provided.

Shaun Lim, Shinjiru Chief Technology Officer, said: “We hope that this project will help those that are negatively affected during this pandemic. If you need help or know someone who needs these donations, please do not hesitate to drop by or share our location with them.”

“This project has helped at least 20 people since it was launched. There is nothing compared to all the smiles you see on their faces when the donations help to lift some burden from their shoulders.” he added.
