Shinjiru teams up with PGK to rush relief for Pahang flood victims

KUALA LUMPUR 19 January 2021 – Shinjiru Technology Sdn. Bhd. (Shinjiru) teams up with non-governmental organisation (NGO) Persatuan Gerbang Kasih to ensure swift delivery of donation items for the flood victims in Pahang.

Within hours of the launch of its first corporate social responsibility (CSR) project for 2021, the company received numerous contributions from its generous employees consisting of dry food items, clothing, slippers, blankets and comforters as well as basic necessities including diapers and sanitary pads for women.

“We are most grateful to receive such overwhelming support from Shinjiru Ohana, a group of hardworking and charitable men and women who jump at the opportunity to help the those facing incredible challenges to rebuild their lives.

“Shinjiru would also like to express our heartiest gratitude to Al-Meswak Mu’min Sdn. Bhd. for their contribution of over 300 tubes of toothpaste. We thank you for your steadfast support,” said Shinjiru Communications Strategist, Diyana Rose Kamalludeen.

Meanwhile, President of Persatuan Gerbang Kasih, Hans Bala said, he is pleasantly surprised by the amount of donations Shinjiru managed to collect within a short period of time as they are preparing to deliver donations as soon as the flood recedes.

“I even made two trips here to collect the large amount of donations Shinjiru managed to pull together. We are very thankful for this collaboration and the wonderful support by Shinjiru,” he added.

The items were then delivered to Pahang and distributed to 450 families within the Rompin district who are currently struggling to survive due to the devastating aftermath of the recent flood as well as the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions.

Persatuan Gerbang Kasih is a non-governmental charity organisation committed to giving it back to the community especially those in dire need of assistance. The NGO believes in charity beyond race, religion and creed.
