Teamwork: A Positive Workplace Culture

People who work in an office environment are often comfortable working independently, but some enjoy working in a team. Some thrive working solo, while others excel with the presence of others. When we bring them to the table and share them for a common purpose, it can give companies a real competitive advantage.”

According to a study, a company’s teamwork is the only way anything gets accomplished with quality and efficiency, and a major reason why economic growth is under control and the company’s success is scrutinized by top management to achieve the desired goals.

Shared Goal 

Having good teamwork nourishes a bond among the team members. Encouraging each other with words and action can drive a team to a common goal.

A study was performed with 103 MBA students where each person was randomly assigned to a team or worked individually. They were then subsequently given questions about their “measures of social support both objectively (whether the individual is currently feeling support from family) and subjectively (whether the individual feels s/he has someone who motivates her, empathetic towards her, supportive, understanding).” The finding was that team members reported high levels of peer empathy than isolates.”
